Nice people are helping me to compress films so you can view them in their tiny entirety - click on the main photo on a film's page to PLAY it - should be ready in a few weeks...
Coming Soon:
"ANTE CHAMBER" - The "Spirit House" series continues with another film that explores spaces meant to inspire spiritual reflection.I'll be making a new page for this soon.
"DEEP SPACE" is a simple (4-minute) film about listening, but it may be incorporated into the larger series as a piece of another film....
"Spectral Cycle" the introduction of color into a blackandwhite world.
I will likely make it to the sea again, or to the land, or both, to fill the series out.
New
Releases:
2007
"Spirit House" (16mm, 10:45) - what can "house" a spirit, and what kind of "spirit" is it that can inhabit something? AND...
"Nest" (16mm from Super8, 5:45) is a fluid river of a piece, around and through, yet taking us to the heart of things. I don't have a 16mm print of this one yet, should be set by May1.
"Creation Myth" chromatic evolution of spirit through the placement of the body without and within our sights.
"DIG" 16mm singles: Street Markings have their way with me.
"RING" 16mm - 10:35 continuing the thread of organic light that calls us to our senses. This is an ongoing exploration...
"21 Alleys " (8:45) 16mm - descriptions of a neighborhood and its limitations. This film will be finished by 8/1
"Cabinet" (12:00) 16mm - movements from and to the seen through the seer.
"Office Suite " (16:00) 16mm - brings light into darkness, pulls darkness out of the light.
"Neighbors" (3:30) - HD video - -----a day-to-night cycle romanticized.
SEPARATELY (on their own DVDs):
"MOM & POP SHOP" is the new incarnation of RISING TIDE. It's 50 minutes long (video), and we're looking for broadcast distribution.
FOR MORE INFO on the film you can find stills, a SHORT description (and soon there'll be a clip) on my own page for the film (RISING TIDE), and for a longer description and more on publicity, go to Michael's site, www.crackanegg.com
"Our
Former Glory" is on the Collectif Jeune Cinema's
1st Volume DVD "Different Cinema", recently released by LoWave
(paris), and through BlackChair/Microcinema.
"In
Loving Memory" I have preview
copies available (VHS and DVD), currently subtitled in English and Spanish.
I
am looking for people to help with distribution on this, so if anyone has suggestions
about people who might be excited about helping with the distribution of this
film that highlights the humanity of death-row inmates through presenting their
happy memories and positive actions, I'd really appreciate it - have them contact
me through the site...
In
Production:
"Maximum"
A
simple comparitive view of maximum security correctional facilities in most (if
not all) of the continental US.By the end of August '03, I will have filmed such
major institutions in 34 of the 48 states, with most of the others likely to follow
by January '04 . |
